Day 43..... Tyler had a lot of visitors this weekend. Tomorrow they are going to look into his lungs. This is called a bronchoscopy. They want to check his vocal chords. If they look good they are going to take his trach out and he will then be in ICU for a couple of days. Just to monitor him. With the trach out then speech can work on him trying to speak and communicate. He opens his eye to yes and no questions and he answers appropriately. The MRI is still pending the Dr. wants to consult with a neuro specialist in reading cranial nerves before she actually orders it, so it might be awhile. He enjoys being read to and hearing what everyone writes on the blog. He was happy that Kyle is keeping his spot at the lunch table. So keep sending him messages and we will read them to him. He is not always awake but he is aware of what we are saying. He is a miracle and the prayers are working, keep up the faith and prayers. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

Dear Tyler, I think about you everyday and pray for your recovery. I have been checking your blog everyday and await the messages that your family posts. I know that God is in charge and you know that he is holding you in the palm of his hand. I was excited for your move to Children's Hospital in Toledo. My husband and I were ready to come to visit you in Indiana and that day I read the blog about you not being allowed to have visitors for a while. Well, now we can plan to come visit you and you will get to hear your first grade teacher talking to you. I know you loved how much I talked, so be ready. I am impressed that your sisters are reading to you. They had a good example from their brother. I still remember you and Forest trying to decode words from letter cards that I gave you to make your spelling words. That was a little frustrating for you two and you were so competitive to see who could get it done first! Well, use that stubborn competitiveness and get better! I love you , Tyler! You know that! You were/are definitely one of my favorite boys! We will come to see you soon. Love and a BIG hug around you right now from me! Mrs. Kleck
P.S. This will give you a laugh. You are the student that gave me a new entry in my book of excuses for not bringing homework in. I remember saying to you, " Tyler, why didn't you bring in your homework?" You replied, "Well, it went up in the tornado!" I think I emailed your dad right away at the high school to which he replied that that was the truth, because you were with your grandparents the night before in Van Wert and there was a tornado that hit. I believe your folder and papers went out the front picture window. I will never forget that day! Sorry I didn't believe you at first.
