Day 32..... Sorry for the lag in the updates. Fatigue and computer issue caught up!!! Tyler first few days at Toledo went very well. He settled right in. His heart rate and respiratory rate improved greatly. The Rehab Physician spent 2 hours with Kara and Bob going over her plan and expectations. Tyler has one week to show improvements, then they will decide if he is truly ready for the aggressive rehab or if he needs to go home and try to wake up some more. BUT he as been doing well. They are doing Physical, Speech, and Occupational therapy sometime each twice a day. He was up on a Tilt table, this is a table that they strap in him and stand him up so he can have weight on his feet, hunting boots and all. He tolerated this well. Speech therapy has got him to swallow a few times, this is new and encouraging. He sleeps all evening, which is good for his healing. Thank you for all the support. Will try to give directions to the hospital and his room this eve.

Wonderful news! Way to work Tyler. Keep up the strong fight. Our thoughts and prayers continue. The power of prayer is AMAZING.
Kara...things sound good. The hard work continues, but you new it was not going to be easy! I hope to get up to Toledo to see you both soon. Call if you need anything for me to bring up. Stay positive and keep pushing him...you know teenagers...they LOVE that!! See you soon. Christy

Tyler,

My name is Steve and I'm the youth pastor @ Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert. I just wanted to let you know that the youth here @ TFC have been and will continue to lift you up in prayers as you continue to fight your way back to health. We also have been praying for your family that God will continue to show His love during this bump in the road. You are in our prayers daily!

P. S. Thanks for the continued updates!

Please know that a day doesn't pass by without our family reading your blog and praying for healing and patience while you are waiting on the Lord. With so many prayers being offered on Tyler's behalf, I just know the Lord will be working his miracles. His timing is not always easy... but, it is always good!
I read Lori Rufenacht's challenge with the pop tabs this AM, and I mentioned it to my boys shortly after. By 3:00 today they had 1,526 pop tabs! (And, no they did not drink all that pop!) I hope the excitement continues and that each pop tab offers up a new request from our maker.
Praying hard.
