Day 11.... Tyler overcame a milestone today. Today the doctors turned his ventilator basically off. He is breathing on his own but the ventilator is giving him some support at the end of his breath so he doesn't have to work so hard. He is doing well. Physical therapy is working with him. They are getting him up in a special chair. So yes he is still in a coma but he continues to amaze us everyday. Visitors are always welcome. As everyday Thank you to everyone. Love Ty's Family.

Kara and family,

Thank you for sharing your journey with Tyler. It is obvious to me that you have an incredible support system, and I know in my heart that Tyler is blessed to have a great mom and dad like yourselves to help him in the recovery process. I think of you often Kara..... Janet

Sometimes we never know what Gods plans are for us and how we are to be used in his master plan. You Tyler have been chosen to be a miracle to show the world that they can still happen. Continue to keep up the good fight little buddy you are hitting a grand slam

Hi there Priest family! My name is Mandy Altum, and I have been best friends with Jennie Hoffman for about 15 years now. I live in the Knoxville, TN area, but was home (in West Liberty) a couple of weeks ago. I had heard of Tyler's accident, but had no idea he was related to Jen! I am so sorry to hear about this tragedy, but remember that our God is merciful. He is the great healer, and our comfort when we are weak.
I am going to put Tyler on our prayer list, and my husband & I will definitely be praying for your family.
I will check in with the Hoffman's from time to time for updates (because I'm not on here a lot). May God Bless your family, and may he use this experience to glorify his kingdom!
Love,
Mandy Altum

Dear Kara, Bob and family:

I have been keeping Tyler in prayer. When I read about the boots, all I could think about was combat boots and the scripture from Ephesians 6:11 came to mind, "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes".

I pray that God will continue to protect Tyler and gird you all up with the spiritual and physical strength you need at this time to fight the battle before you.

Love to you all.

your cousin,

Cindy

Coach, everyone was glad to see you yesterday at practice even for a short time. We all thought of Tyler too! Just like a soldier is, "Boots on Ground" so will Tyler be. Tyler, the verse,"God knows your name, it is written in the palm of your hand." is absolutely for you.
He WILL,
